To the daily photo community: I'm sorry I have been so 'spotty', haha :)
No photoshop; just natural light and a reflector.

Thanks to M. for the spots, and Ran for the idea.

I'm taking a photography course. It's a basic course at the School for Professional Photography, and it's a lot of fun. It's basically an introduction to a lot of things. From the basics of the camera, to studio shooting, and a lot more. Also, a lot of shooting; Free work for each next class, plus some assignments.

One assignment for the next class is to 'copy an existing photograph'. Any photo would be allowed, as long is it was interesting, and at least a bit challenging in a certain way.

Even before this assignment, I've been a fan of Abbie Warnock's 'Devil's Advocate', and I already had plans to give something like that a shot.
This assignment was the perfect opportunity! I arranged for a helping hand, some time, black background and some face paint...

Today is fisheye day! We saw these long shadows and it just had to be photographed. It looks even longer with the fisheye.

I borrowed a fisheye today, and I'm hooked. That's bad, because it means there is more stuff on my 'want to have' list, which means more money to spend.

Yes Schmoo, I fixed it in post :)

Every day is check your settings day; It's on timer... oh it's not. It's on repetive shooting... oh it's not (x10).

Today we (me and Schmoo)visited Amsterdam. Even though I live relatively close, I rarely ever go there so it was nice to see it as a 'tourist'. We had a great time with the fisheye again, it really is a lot of fun.

Some VERY shiny/reflective switches/plates :) Stayed overnight at a hotel in Jersey for work. It was a long weekend, 9 flights in total. I always have my Canon G9 in my bag when I work.

Roadtrip!!!

I saw car-shots recently as well as composites, so I had to give this a try.

I've not set the right example here but please, always wear your seatbelts when driving! (I wasn't actually driving, and not fast enough for the timer to get my seatbelt on :)

More cleaning, of course with... music :) Music goes where I go, pretty much. I rarely not have any music playing. I have quite a few mp3s, but also real cd's! (do you know what cds are, kids?) Actually, I have and play records as well.

My eyes have the weird habit of changing colors in different circumstances. I never know what color my eyes are. My Dutch papers say green, my American papers say gray or multicolored, hehe.

It was nice weather today (about 40 degrees F with clear skies and a nice sun). I decided to take my run in the woods.

I don't normally like to run in the woods, really, because you have to look at where you put your feet all the time if you don't want to break them. I do love the smell and the surroundings though, so every now and then I go there.

I found a sort of hut-like thing, and decided to run back to my car and get my camera (I usually take my point and shoot anywhere I go, now) and take one of myself in front of it, resting a bit.

(EDIT: All I need is a ball I can talk to :)
