I'm taking a photography course. It's a basic course at the School for Professional Photography, and it's a lot of fun. It's basically an introduction to a lot of things. From the basics of the camera, to studio shooting, and a lot more. Also, a lot of shooting; Free work for each next class, plus some assignments.

One assignment for the next class is to 'copy an existing photograph'. Any photo would be allowed, as long is it was interesting, and at least a bit challenging in a certain way.

Even before this assignment, I've been a fan of Abbie Warnock's 'Devil's Advocate', and I already had plans to give something like that a shot.
This assignment was the perfect opportunity! I arranged for a helping hand, some time, black background and some face paint...

To the daily photo community: I'm sorry I have been so 'spotty', haha :)
No photoshop; just natural light and a reflector.

Thanks to M. for the spots, and Ran for the idea.

This photo was taken on my grandparents' 65th anniversary :) See also my '(Sort of) Daily Photos' gallery.

Today I visited my grandparents. It was their 65th anniversary (!!!!!).

I didn't take a lot of shots, and those that I did take didn't turn out great due to reflections on glasses, closed eyes or other things like that.

I did like this shot, of my grandfather, 92 years old, listening to an alderman that came to visit and congratulate them.

Family time! B. and B. are brothers and my cousins. It was B's birthday or atleast he is celebrating it today.

Their mom asked if I could get a photo of them (together). As of that moment "hide for the camera" was a popular game.

I visited M. and D. today. I have known M. since the first year in highschool (1991). D, his girlfriend, I met a little later. Both are very nice people, albeit a bit camera-shy :)

We went for lunch in the town they live in. They haven't lived there for very long so we tried a random restaurant. Turned out it wasn't exactly 'our kind of place', but the food was good and they had hot chocolate.

D, very pregnant at that time, is hiding on the right.
