I'm taking a photography course. It's a basic course at the School for Professional Photography, and it's a lot of fun. It's basically an introduction to a lot of things. From the basics of the camera, to studio shooting, and a lot more. Also, a lot of shooting; Free work for each next class, plus some assignments.

One assignment for the next class is to 'copy an existing photograph'. Any photo would be allowed, as long is it was interesting, and at least a bit challenging in a certain way.

Even before this assignment, I've been a fan of Abbie Warnock's 'Devil's Advocate', and I already had plans to give something like that a shot.
This assignment was the perfect opportunity! I arranged for a helping hand, some time, black background and some face paint...

We have a weekly magazine here, called "Donald Duck". It's about, yes, you guessed it correctly, Donald Duck :) I don't really like a lot of comics, but I do really like Donald Duck.

In the front there is a section for letters sent in by readers, usually kids age 5-10 or so. There is also one little section where they feature a reader, something like "I'm jane, I am 7 years old, and I've have had a subscription for 1.5 years. I like Daisy best".

"I'm Ivar, I'm 29 and I have had a subscription for 24 years. I like Donald best" :)

Closing my eyes a bit, because of a headache. I have started eating according to the ETL diet (mostly, I'm still cheating) that nearly everyone at SmugMug, as well as some dgrinners are on. In general I am feeling better, but I think my body is stil adjusting and giving me headaches. I *never* have headaches; I think I had two in the last ten years or so.

Note my freakishly long eye-lashes. I've always had a lot of, and long eyelashes... They even hit my sunglasses when I blink, haha.

More cleaning, of course with... music :) Music goes where I go, pretty much. I rarely not have any music playing. I have quite a few mp3s, but also real cd's! (do you know what cds are, kids?) Actually, I have and play records as well.

My eyes have the weird habit of changing colors in different circumstances. I never know what color my eyes are. My Dutch papers say green, my American papers say gray or multicolored, hehe.

Exhausted - I feel like I could sleep for days...

Cold and studying. I love my warm, thick, brown, woolen sweater/vest thing. Especially when I'm sitting still a lot. Studying today. These are only a few of the books.

It's kind of a 'classic'/'it had to be done' shot, I think; I've seen shots like this before on the daily community.

"Tired eyes".

Meet Bas. Bas is my dog, and he is the same age as I am. He was given to me when I was born, almost 29 years ago. (Yes, that's me and him in the bottom photo :)

Bas has been very loyal to me, following me around all over the world. I didn't bring him on trips, but when I lived in the USA, he was there as well. You should try it; As an adult (male) bring a 3'+ toy dog with you on the airplane. It's a lot of fun actually, mainly because of all the looks you get :D

He does look tired.
